Backing up copies data for storage purposes. In Nebo, the backup is stored as a .nebobackup file, which can only be changed by actively modifying or deleting it. | Syncing ensures that changes made to data in one location are reflected across all devices where that data is accessible. Auto-sync is enabled by default, but you can switch it off in Settings. Auto-sync doesn't back up your content, so use the separate Back Up option in Settings for that purpose. |

- Auto-sync is enabled by default but can be switched off in Settings. Auto-sync doesn't back up your content, so use the separate Back Up option in Settings if needed. Syncing may take a few seconds for all notes to update across devices.
- Syncing is not included in the free version of Nebo for iOS or Android; upgrading to the full version via an in-app purchase is required for access to syncing features. Never delete Nebo without first backing up or syncing your notes to prevent data loss.
Syncing Nebo across different devices:
- Syncing within the same brand OS:
- iOS/Mac: If Nebo was purchased on an iPad, you can restore the purchase for free on any compatible Mac or iPhone using the same Apple ID.
- Android: If purchased on an Android device, restore the purchase on any compatible Android tablet or smartphone using the same Google Play ID.
- Windows: If bought on a Windows device, you can restore the purchase on other compatible Windows PCs or tablets using the same Microsoft Store ID.

- Syncing between different OS platforms:
- Nebo must be purchased separately for each OS (Apple, Google, Microsoft). Purchases on one platform do not transfer to another due to different licensing systems.
