Want to back up your notes just in case the unexpected ever happens? With Nebo it’s easy and can be done in a few simple steps:
Making a backup
- Open the notebook side panel.
- Select Settings.
- Select Backup.
- Decide if you want to Sync and Backup or Backup.
- Sync and back-up will sync the contents of your Nebo library with your cloud account and create a library back up on your device. You will need to configure a sync account and resolve any syncing conflicts before selecting this.
- Backup creates a full library backup of your library on your device with no sync to your cloud account.
- On Windows devices there is no option to Sync and backup.
5 Select where you would like to store your backup
- Sync and backup will sync the contents of your Nebo library with your cloud account and create a library back up on your device. You will need to configure a sync account and resolve any syncing conflicts before selecting this.
- Backup creates a full library backup of your library on your device with no sync to your cloud account.
- For iOS and Windows users the backup will be stored on your device as a .nebobackup file.
- For Android users your backup cannot be stored on your device so you will need to store the backup in a secondary location.
- It is not possible to save your backup to or restore from a backup using Huawei Drive.
- When you restore your library from the backup any changes made to your notes since the last backup will be overwritten. For this reason, it is important to make regular backups.
N.B. We recommend that you regularly backup your notes in a secure location and it is always advisable that you keep a backup secure on a second device.
