How can we help you today?

Working on long pages and avoiding lag

While you can create long notes in Nebo, your device's ability to process the content plays a key role in performance. Devices with limited RAM (e.g., 3 GB) may struggle to handle extensive notes, potentially causing lag or app closures due to resource limitations.

Tips to Improve Performance

  1. Optimize Content

    • Avoid overloading pages with excessive images or extensive content to reduce processing strain.
  2. Explore Note Formats

    • Use Nebo's formats for a tailored note-taking experience:
      • Notebooks: Best for journaling, writing, or drawing.
      • Boards: Ideal for unstructured brainstorming.
      • Documents: Structured notes combining text, diagrams, or math.
      • PDFs: Import and annotate directly by hand.
  3. Organize with New Pages

    • When you see a yellow or red notification banner at the top of a page, create a new page to avoid lag or data loss.
  4. Backup Regularly

    • Safeguard your notes by frequently creating backups.

Page Content Notifications

  • Yellow Banner: Indicates it's time to finish the page and create a new one to avoid lag.
  • Red Banner: Signals that performance issues are imminent, and continuing on the same page may result in data loss.

To create a new page, select New Page in the banner. Nebo will use the current page's settings for the new page.

Important Notes

  • The banner will persist until the content causing it is removed.
  • Adding content to a page with a banner may result in lag or lost notes.
