Guidance on Managing Nebo Updates for Lenovo and Huawei Devices

If Nebo is pre-installed on your Lenovo tablet and you are unsure about updates or transitioning to newer versions, follow these steps:
Checking for System Updates
Lenovo manages all updates for pre-installed apps. If you do not see a system update for your device:
- Verify if your device is eligible for updates by visiting the Lenovo Support Site.
- Contact Lenovo support to inquire about update availability for your device.
Exploring the Latest Version of Nebo
To access the latest Nebo features, you can:
- Download the trial version of Nebo 6 from the Google Play Store (limited to a few pages).
- Purchase the full Nebo app from the Google Play Store, enabling unlimited access and installation on other Android devices linked to the same Google ID.
Backing Up Your Nebo Library
Before performing an OS update or switching to a new version of Nebo:
- Open Settings in the Nebo side panel.
- Select Backup & Restore.
- Choose:
- Sync and Backup: Syncs your library with the cloud and creates a backup.
- Backup Only: Creates a local backup (Android users must store it externally).
- For cloud backups, ensure you're signed in with a MyScript account:
- Access Settings > Account and create/sign into an account.
- Enable syncing to a preferred cloud service.
After an Update
Once the OS or app update is complete:
- Open Nebo and log in to your MyScript account.
- Check if your library is intact. If notes are missing, restore them from the backup created earlier.
Huawei Devices
If you cannot access Nebo on a Huawei device:
- Contact Huawei Support or call 950800 for assistance.
- Nebo is no longer included on Huawei devices. If you have access to the Google Play Store, purchase Nebo to use the latest version.
